Betty Wiles Scholarship – Applicants must be a senior in Onondaga County high school and demonstrate an interest in international relations or studies. Criteria include an 88% non-weighted high school average, an essay describing experiences and interests related to this field, and a personal resume of student activities. Applications are available in guidance. The deadline for this $500 scholarship is May 1, 2008.
Syracuse Builders Exchange Scholarship – Applicants must be dependents of employees of Syracuse Builders Exchange member firms and plan to attend an accredited college or university within New York State. Three $2,000 scholarships are available. Applications are in guidance. Deadline to apply is May 2, 2008.
Frederick K. Kilian Memorial Scholarship - $2400 to one male and one female high school senior. The scholarship is renewable annually for up to 4 years (5 years for engineering only). Applications and criteria are available at www.cnycf.org. Application deadline is May 5, 2008.
SSA Sally Whittle Scholarship For Musical Excellence – The Syracuse Symphony Association is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a music student who is a senior in high school, in good academic standing, and is planning to pursue a career in instrumental music performance and/or education. Application is available in guidance. Deadline to apply is May 12, 2008.
Christine M. McHugh Memorial Scholarship – established to assist active Emergency Medical Service providers who are pursuing advanced education in the fields of health care or law. Application forms are available on the web at www.cnycf.org. Applications are due May 15, 2008.
Gordon Ohstrom Athletic Booster Club Sholarship – Two $250 scholarships are available to a LaFayette senior who plans on attending college or technical school The student must have volunteered for the Booster Club at least 4 times during high school, carry a minimum of an 80 average this senior year, have played 1 varsity sport this year, and have played at least 3 varsity seasons during high school. Deadline to apply is May 16, 2008. Applications are available in guidance.
Oneida Lake Region Scholarship – There is an $800 scholarship available to a graduating senior with an interest in cars and intent to pursue an automotive related education at a recognized facility. Deadline to apply is May 16, 2008. Applications are available in guidance.
Lt. Patrick Kelly Connor USN Scholarship – First Christian Assembly if offering a $1000 scholarship to a young Christian man or woman who plans on attending a service academy or enrolls in a ROTC program with the intention of entering the military in a leadership position. Applications are available in guidance. The deadline to apply is May 21, 2008.
Voices of Tomorrow Scholarship – They Syracuse Choral is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior who is interested in choral singing after high school. Deadline to apply is May 25, 2008. Applications are available in guidance.
Constantino Scholarship – two $1000 scholarships awarded to deserving high school seniors who participate on their schools cross country and/or track and field teams. Applications are due June 1, 2008.
Luanne A. Rienzo Memorial Fund Scholarship – Applications are available for any high school senior who will pursue post-secondary education and participates in local run/walk charity events and volunteers their time for community service. Two letters of recommendation are required and a typed essay must be provided. Two $500 scholarships are available. Forms are available in guidance. Applications must be postmarked by June 7, 2008.
John J. Lorenzen & Debbie J. Tranello Memorial Scholarship – Any graduating senior wishing to continue their education beyond high school in pursuit of a career in the Automotive Aftermarket is eligible for this scholarship. Scholarship may be $1000. Applications are available in guidance. Students must apply by June 15, 2008. |
