   Welcome to the Art Room 126 Website!!

Students, remember to bring your SKETCHBOOK, PENCIL, and BINDER to class. Students use these 3 required materials on a daily basis. All assigned sketchbook activities must appear inside the sketchbook otherwise the assignment will be a 0 for a grade. Please make sure your student has their materials for art class. 

Materials Check -  We will be having our third Materials Check at the beginning of class on Monday, December 7th. All 3 materials will earn a grade of a 100! 

Art Display At The LaFayette Library 
The art department has been collaborating with the LaFayette Public Library to showcase artwork of the Junior and Senior art students. The current exhibit features a display of images of the award winning entries from the 2015 Scholastic Art Show. We are truly greatful for the opportunity to exhibit the works of our talented students!

Open Studio Time
After school is a great time to work on an art project beyond the regualr class time. Open studio is from 2:45 - 3:15 in the art room and will be offered Monday - Friday except on days when instructor has a faculty or other meeting. Students, check the white board in the art room for days when open studio is offered. Students are encouraged to use this time if they are falling behind in their current project. Students may also make up a missed class during open studio time, or get extra credit on the Work in Progress grade if they have no absences to makeup.

Quarter 1 ends on November 13th. Please be aware that Thursday, November 12th is the last day to make up any absences acrued in the first quarter.

Important dates to remember:

Materials Check - Students must have a sketchbook, pencil, and binder. This is a graded assignent. Students can earn 100% by being prepared with all of their materials.
12/7/15 - 3rd materials check 
1/11/16 - 4th materials check

All Scholastic Art entries must be finished for digitizing by 12/18/15. All online entries must be completed by 12/21/15 and signed forms must be returned no later than Dec. 23rd. Delivery day is Saturday, January 2, 2016.
