100th Day
Wadeñ nwa' aweñha
by Mrs. Thornton

On Thursday, February 24th students in grade Kindergarten, first, second and third grade gathered to celebrate the 100th day of school!

The celebration began with a 100th day of school book shared by Mrs. Fisher. The students then counted to 100 by 5's and 10's. The celebration was enhanced by the 6th grade helpers lead by Sophia and Logan counting to 100 in Onondagage'... impressive!

The students then shared their 100 items with the entire group and divided into groups for 100 day activities. The activities included: 100 day crowns, 100 Fruit Loop necklaces, 100 item booklet, 100 tissue paper necklace, 100 apple game, 100 painted fingers, and making an 100 beaded necklace.  After the activities, we returned to the room where we counted 100 pennies and turned it into a dollar bill on the promethean board. Then the second graders helped us finish the celebration with a 100 day of school song.

A yummy treat was waiting for all students in the cafeteria.... 100 cupcakes to end the celebration. We had a wonderful 100th day celebration!
