Grimshaw Second-graders Celebrate Dinosaur Day with Hands-On Learning

Second-grade students at Grimshaw Elementary School recently celebrated Dinosaur Day, an engaging, hands-on learning experience designed to supplement their English Language Arts (ELA) module focused on paleontology and fossils.
Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of interactive activities that brought their curriculum to life. Using excavation tools, students unearthed fossils embedded in clay, “hatched” and built LEGO dinosaurs, explored dinosaur-themed literature and took part in creative learning stations tied directly to their classroom studies.
Dinosaur Day provided students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of paleontology while fostering curiosity, creativity and excitement for learning. The event was filled with enthusiasm, smiles and meaningful educational experiences for all involved.
Grimshaw Elementary continues to support innovative, hands-on learning opportunities that enhance classroom instruction and inspire students across the Lafayette community.
